Madrigal Singer Auditions
Who are the Madrigal Singers?
The Madrigal Singers is a small group of members from the larger Itasca Community Chorus. The focus of this group will be more advanced repertoire, unique touring/performance opportunities, and ambassadors for the Itasca Choral Society.
Audition Date and Time
Auditions for the Madrigal Singers will take place on August 26th at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church from 2:30 pm to 5 pm. This is an open audition so feel free to arrive for an audition anytime between the aforementioned slot. An average audition will last between 5 and 10 minutes.
If you are unable to attend, please email us at itascacommunitychorus@gmail.com for an alternative audition time between August 22nd to August 26th.
Audition Requirements
Singers will be asked to do the following:
Range Check (determine your voicing within the ensemble)
Aural Skills (intonation, sight-reading, and melody retention)
Audition Cut (information below, please read!)

Singers will be asked to prepare this 12-bar cut from Daniel Elder's "Ballade to the Moon" starting on m. 46 ('These') until m. 57 ('moon'). Please select the voice part in which you are most comfortable singing. Basses will have an option between Bass 1 and Bass 2.
